Family
Abbey is our first born, with artistic style, wit and a mind that absorbs literary depth and historical information like a database. Her ability to draw, capture the human form and create colourful cartoons is a real joy. As well as being a flautist this young lady has a beautiful voice. Aside from reading, reading, reading, she enjoys the odd game of SIMs, actually make that a lot of SIMs.
Corey is our philosopher. He thinks deep and there is a lot of mental brain power upstairs. He does well in his computing and internet studies and will argue his way out of a paper bag if the need arose. A budding cricket player and maybe a Scientist or Engineer in the making we await the future with a high degree of expectation.
Faith was born just before our move to Australia so she could easily play international sport for either side. This young girl amazes us with her inner strength. She shows great leadership and aside from being a brilliant academic student she also sings beautifully and contributes to all her class activities. I wouldn't be surprised if she could be Prime Minister of Australia. I heard there could be a vacancy.
Ethan is our aussie born youngest son. A true 'bluey', this red haired wonder brings so much life and fun into our family. He knows how to work an audience so having a family of six is a great start for this entertainer. He loves going out for time with his Dad that certainly builds up a sense of awe at the love he is able to give with hugs a regular part of the day. He's just started soccer and is way ahead in his school spelling and reading.
My wife Cheryl is the anchor of my life. This lady is incredibly strong and yet so soft and caring. We recently celebrated 17 years of marriage and it was fantastic to talk about how much MORE in love we are today than when we started out. I guess as you understand you comprehend. They used to say 'Seek first to Understand' then 'Seek to be Understood'. There is so much truth in this wee comment. So often we start saying 'I only wish you would get me', but we've got things in the wrong order. But wait I rave, I'll put this in a blog later.
Cheryl is a trained Chef but more importantly an experienced Mother. This lady has the daily life of a house of chaos down to a symphony. We're privileged to be well fed and watered with the best cuisine a family could deal with… and the only reason I need to lose a few pounds is because of the stuff I don't eat at home
Watch out there's more, I'll fill you in on the ancestry another day.
