Winner of Speech Finals

Faith has just stepped out into the limelight in her first year at Loganholme State School. Last Tuesday night she competed in the year 5 speech finals. She was up against five other finalists to deliver a speech on her chosen topic of ‘A Great Australian’. The speech was to be as close to 3 minutes as possible. Faith had prepared a great speech on who are the great Australian’s in our community. She had her speech cards ready and presented an impassioned plea for all of us to be like the members of our community who deserve our applause; the teachers,...

The Countdown has Begun

We're edging closer and closer to moving into our new home. If you haven't had an opportunity to look at the progress over the last few weeks then take the time now to visit out Picasaweb photo gallery site. It has become a timeline of the journey. Here you will see where it all began with the progression from a KFC dinner and prayer time back in March. The Ultimate Kitchen

Think about it for a moment. What would the ideal kitchen look like? Some important factors were taken into consideration with our new home for the ‘Chef of the House’. Nigel’s, ‘Kitchen Sensei Master’ Dennis was also on the job arriving Saturday morning and flying home...

Abbey’s Twilight Identity

Abbey just came home from school with her first acrylic paint work. This painting is a wonderful show of life and creativity. Click on the photos to see an enlarged version. ...

WOW – Looking good

If you haven’t checked out the house lately, visit the online album of what has happened as God has faithfully provided us with this new home. The photos online now show the inside with cornices nearly complete and all the doors added. One of the neat things was seeing ‘Danny’ one of the plastering team wandering around on his stilts. Check it out by clicking...

The brick layers move in

Today we went down to find the brick layers hard at work. They tell us they should be finished by next Thursday. So far they’re doing a great job as these photos show. We were really pleased with how the colour of the bricks is coming up.     Here’s the happy couple still coming to grips with the amazing new home. Now we’re working towards the home job of packing and cleaning. We still seem to be on track to move in the week before Christmas.     On the Picasaweb of the home you can see the kids in each of their bedrooms. We thoughts we...
