Australian Citizenship Pledge

Australian Citizenship Pledge  From this time forward, under God, I pledge my loyalty to Australia and its people,  Whose democratic beliefs I share, Whose rights and liberties I respect, and whose laws I will uphold and obey.  This was a big moment for my family and I back on the 7th September 2005. On a night at the “Kingston Butter Factory” (now an events centre for the Logan City Council), Cheryl and I joined other immigrants who wanted to make our commitment to Australian culture and community a real experience....

A Programmer in the Mist

Now, you’ve probably worked out I meant to say "in our Midst", but hey it wouldn’t have been as good a headline. My 12 year old son Corey has been teaching himself around the code of a game called MUGEN. It is an abandoned game package that seems to have been taken over by a community of fans who have developed their own character and environment sets. What is fantastic is that Corey is finding his way around the definition files and config files to bring his own level of personalisation to the game he loves. Great & Awesome Kids

I’ve got two great teenage kids, Corey & Abbey. They both go to high school together and are finding their way through life. It was amazing to sit down with some KFC and start thinking about where this journey might take us. Walking on ‘the land’ is a powerful thing. To be able to pray over it was a privilege. From Kookaburra Place This is where we plan to build a home just at the end of Constellation...

The excitement for the Pitchford family is that we are considering building a home. It has come by surprise and we look forward to the adventure of being able to exude some creative talent in the building process. Already we are working out how we take the ‘Pitchford Family’ lifestyle and fit in between four walls. Watch this space.

Abbey & Ethan

Gotta love my oldest and youngest This photo was taken on the evening of Ethan’s birthday party. Amazing that Ethan has turned 7 and Abbey turned 14. My time flies when you’re having fun. Both of these kids have great artistic streaks running through their veins. I love seeing the creative side of them come out. With Abbey it might be her art or writing and for Ethan it can be a smile or a mimic that shows the performer...
